Lynn Bowes, originally from Saskatchewan, moved with her family to outside of Edmonton (Bruderheim) where she grew up. After graduating from the U of A with a Bachelor of Commerce, she lived/worked in Lloydminster and Sherwood Park before moving to Slave Lake in 1997. Over the last 29 years she has worked in a variety of industries including wood processing, trucking and oilfield hauling in a variety of positions in the administrative field. For the past 7 years she has been with Spilak Tank Truck Service, and is currently the Controller. As her daughter has grown up, she has been involved with coaching her soccer teams, as well as volunteering at St Mary of the Lake school for Halloween activities, Christmas concerts and field trips. She loves the small town feel of Slave Lake. During the summer she spends time camping with family and friends and in the winter is an avid curler. Keeping up with her teenage daughter helps to keep her young.
