The Town of Slave Lake wants to remind residents where to dispose of recyclable materials to divert them from our regional landfill.
Contamination is the biggest issue impacting successful recycling practices today when people throw in items they shouldn’t, such as grease-soaked cardboard, plastic bags, or paint cans.
For more information or to view the recycling/garbage pickup schedule, please visit the town of Slave Lake website at https://ab-slavelake.civicplus.com/calendar.aspx?CID=43 or call GFL at 780-49-3334.
For additional information on not leaving recyclables in the dumpster, please click the link: https://www.slavelake.ca/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2112.

Dear Slave Lake Residents,
If you own a property or a business that is in Slave Lake or the surrounding area that uses a dumpster, please do not leave recyclables in your dumpster as it attracts dumpster divers. This can expose your dumpster and your property to theft, trespassing, and vandalism among other dangers.
Please send your recyclable containers to Slave Lake Bottle Depot located at 407 Caribou Trail NW in Slave Lake to reduce these risks.
