Inter-Municipal Subdivision Development Appeal Board
About the Board
The Intermunicipal Subdivision Development Appeal Board is comprised of five municipalities: the Town of Slave Lake, the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River, Big Lakes County, the Town of Swanhills, and the Town of High Prairie. The purpose of the board is to hear appeals from decisions made by the development authority and subdivision authority of the respective municipality.
Meeting Schedule
Meetings are held as requested and take place in the municipality from which the appeal originates.
Member Information
Each municipality is responsible for the appointment process of its members. All members must be certified in Subdivision Development Appeal Board Training.

File An Appeal
Appeals must be filed with the Regional Clerks of the Subdivision Development Appeal Board, and corresponding fees will apply.

Forms must be dropped off at the Town of Slave Lake Office or Big Lakes County Office with a Regional Clerk. Forms can also be emailed to executive.assistant@slavelake.ca
Note that appeals are formally processed once the corresponding appeal fee is paid.
