Slave Lake RCMP arrest individual for weapon offences
Slave Lake, Alta. – On January 6th, 2025, Slave Lake RCMP were made aware of a video that was being circulated in the community, which depicted an individual holding a firearm up to another person.
Following a thorough investigation, Slave Lake RCMP identified the individuals in the video and made an arrest on January 30th, 2025.
Leslie Wayne Bedford, a 56-year-old resident of Camrose, Alta., has been charged with the following offences:
- Assault with a weapon
- Pointing a firearm
- Uttering threats
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
Leslie was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 26th, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake.
