[ARCHIVED] Notice of Public Hearing - Bylaw #27-2020

Notice of Public Hearing

Public Hearing

December 1, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers

BYLAW #27-2020 (Amend the Land Use Bylaw #22-2007)

Town Council is considering amending the Land Use District Map of the Land Use Bylaw #22-2007 by redistricting as follows:

Lot 3A, Block 31, Plan 012 2117 (105 – 6 Ave. SE) and Lot 3, Block 31, Plan 6474 NY (109 – 6 Ave. SE) from C2 – Secondary Commercial District to C1 – Downtown Commercial Mixed-Use District

Bylaw 25-2020, 26-2020, 27-2020

If you or any group of citizens either support or are opposed to this proposed amendment, please deliver a letter to the Town Office no later than November 26, 2020 or verbally make a presentation at the Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Due to AHS COVID-19 rules for social distancing, we must limit the number of people in Council Chambers and the Town Office Lobby. Should you arrive and the building be at capacity, you may be asked to wait outside the building.  Every effort will be made to allow people to wait either in Council Chambers or the Town Office Lobby however, this is again dependent on number of people and social distancing rules.   Administration will be coordinating the rotation of people who wish to speak at the meeting. Please note that while seating is very limited within Council Chambers, the meeting will be broadcast on the lobby television so that all can hear what has been said. That said, should you be required to wait outside, the Council Meeting is available to be viewed on YouTube on a mobile device. The password to the public Wi-Fi will be posted on the outside doors just before the meeting, so that data charges will not apply.

For more details, copies of the Land Use Bylaw #22-2007 and proposed amending Bylaw #27-2020 and related information, are available at the Town office.   For further information contact Laurie Skrynyk or Samantha Dyck at 849-8000.

Written submissions, please mail or deliver to: Town of Slave Lake, Box 1030, 10 Main Street SW, Slave Lake, Alberta,  T0G 2A0
