NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS IN THE TOWN OF SLAVE LAKE

All Town of Slave Lake 2025 Property Tax Notices will be sent out on MAY 6, 2025, either by email or regular mail.  If you have enrolled in paperless billing, please watch your inbox for the tax notice.

Failure to receive a property tax notice is not a reason for non-payment of taxes.

If you have not received a copy of your 2025 Property Tax Notice, please contact the Town of Slave Lake office so we can update your file, if needed, and print a new copy for you.

The property tax levy will be due on or before JUNE 30, 2025, unless you are on our Tax Installment Payment Plan. 

Payment Methods:

The Town of Slave Lake accepts cash, debit, cheque, online banking (excluding etransfer), and credit card payment through pay simply. To access pay simply you can go to our website at www.slavelake.ca, click Departments, Taxes, and Pay Online. 

We also offer a monthly Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP). 

Payment Received:

The postmark will determine the payment date of all mailed payments. Online payments must be transmitted to our office on or before midnight on June 30th, 2025.

Penalties:

If your payment has not been made before the due date, penalties will be applied to the tax account as follows:

July 1st (2% applied on current year balance) 

August 1st (6% applied on current year balance) 

October 1st (8% applied on current year balance) and 

January 1st (10% on the total year end balance) 

Outstanding Taxes:

If you have outstanding taxes from previous years, the Town of Slave Lake offers a Property Tax Agreement option.  This option is penalty-free.
