Slave Lake RCMP execute search warrant
Slave Lake, Alta. - On February 24, 2025, Slave Lake RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in Slave Lake leading to the arrest of two individuals.
Officers executed a search warrant on a residence in the area of 6th Avenue. As a result of the investigation, police seized approximately 39 grams of cocaine, a firearm magazine with ammunition, $500 dollars in Canadian currency, electronics and other items and materials used in the trafficking of controlled substances.
Timothy Mergle, a 37-year-old resident of Slave Lake, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order x2
- Possession of prohibited ammunition knowing possession is unauthorized x2
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime
Timothy Mergle was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 12,2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake.
Shauna Desjarlais, a 37-year-old resident of Slave Lake, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a controlled substance
Shauna Desjarlais was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was released on a Release Order. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 12, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake.
