Slave Lake RCMP made an arrest for break and enter
The following is a media release from the Slave Lake RCMP:
Slave Lake, Alta. – On January 13, 2025, at approximately 12:50 AM, Slave Lake RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at an educational facility located on Main Street in Slave Lake. Officers attended and located an individual hiding in a bathroom. Upon apprehension, it was learned that the suspect was bound by conditions to not be within the Town of Slave Lake.
Joey Martin Bigstone, aged 31, has been charged with the following offences:
- Break and enter with intent
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x2
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Fail to comply with conditions of release x 6
Joey was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 15, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake.
