The following is a news release from the Slave Lake RCMP:
On April 7, 2024, at approximately 7:30 P.M., Slave Lake RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious female trying to gain entry to a residence in the northwest quadrant of Slave Lake.
RCMP attended, located, and arrested the female. Upon investigation, it was determined that the female had assaulted the homeowner after being confronted by them while attempting to flee.
As a result of the investigation, Slake Lake resident Caroline Catherine MUNRO (31) has been charged with:
• Break and enter to a residence; and
• Assault
MUNRO was held for a judicial interim hearing and released. She will appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake on May 8, 2024.
“I continue to encourage members of the community to call and report any suspicious person or vehicle seen within the community,” says Staff Sergeant Casey Bruyns, Slave Lake RCMP Detachment Commander. “This call of a suspicious person led directly to her arrest.”
