The Town of Slave Lake’s Multi Recreation Centre (MRC) is a vibrant, welcoming hub that supports sport, wellness, and community connection for residents of all ages. As a cornerstone of local recreation, the MRC features an ice arena, curling rink, indoor playground, walking track, multipurpose rooms, and fitness amenities. It is home to a wide range of programs and activities, including minor hockey, figure skating, lacrosse, public skating, fitness classes, drop-in play, and special community events throughout the year.
In addition to recreation programming, the MRC offers versatile rental spaces ideal for meetings, workshops, birthday parties, family gatherings, and small celebrations. Flexible room configurations and on-site amenities make it a convenient, accessible option for both community groups and private bookings.
The facility is also home to Susan’s Kitchen, a popular local eatery that provides convenient dining options for visitors, participants, and spectators. Whether stopping in for a meal, hosting an event, or staying active, guests will find Susan’s Kitchen to be a welcoming and valued part of the MRC experience.
Together, the facilities, services, and welcoming atmosphere of the MRC reflect the Town of Slave Lake’s ongoing commitment to health, inclusion, recreation, and community well-being.
