THE NORTHERN LIGHTS AQUATIC CENTRE
The Town of Slave Lake’s Northern Lakes Aquatic Centre (NLAC) is a modern, family-friendly facility that promotes health, safety, and aquatic recreation for residents and visitors of all ages. The centre features a six-lane competition pool, leisure pool with spray and play features, hot tub, sauna, waterslide, and spectator seating, supporting everything from lane swimming and water fitness classes to family swim and birthday parties. Designed for accessibility and enjoyment, the NLAC is an inclusive space for all skill levels.
The NLAC is home to the Slave Lake Sharks Swim Club, a competitive and developmental program that provides opportunities for swimmers to build confidence, refine technique, and compete at regional and provincial levels under the guidance of certified coaches. The facility also plays a vital role in delivering swimming lessons, lifesaving courses, and aquatic leadership training, helping to build essential life skills and promote water safety within the community.
The centre offers flexible rental options for private functions, school groups, team functions, and special events. Pool rentals can be booked for birthday parties or group swims and can be customized to include lifeguard supervision and equipment. Multi-purpose spaces within the facility are also available for meetings and programming.
Together, the Northern Lakes Aquatic Centre stands as a cornerstone of year-round recreation, wellness, and aquatic education in the Town of Slave Lake.

- Parent & tot levels 1-3 (3 months-26 months) $47.00.
- Preschool levels 1-5 (3-5years) $47.00.
- Swimmer levels 1 & 2 (5 years and up) $47.00.
- Swimmer levels 3-6 (5 years and up) $57.00.
- Rookie, Ranger, Star (ages 5 and up) $57.00.
- We offer Adult Lessons, as well as Private Lessons.
- Private Lessons (available to everyone): $27 per 30 minute session.
