COVID-19 brings a myriad of challenges and, in some ways, opportunities. The one piece that has been consistent is the importance of children having the opportunity to get outside and play. There are many studies that have demonstrated the importance of this to avoid children having depression and anxiety in later years.

As we slowly and carefully start to reopen the doors of our community, we remind everyone to use kindness and grace. We will not always agree with the decisions of our Government, the decisions of our community members or the decisions of our neighbours. But at the end of the day these ARE our neighbours, community members and friends. Let’s come out of this as Slave Lake has done every time we have been challenged - stronger than ever.
