Memorial Tree Program

Memorial Tree Program

Residents can now honour individuals, or loved ones by planting a Tree within the Town of Slave Lake through the Memorial Tree Program.

With a donation of $500.00 the Town of Slave Lake will plant and care for a tree within the Town boundary (with input from the donor). Along with the memorial tree a small plaque acknowledging the individual will be placed nearby the memorial tree.

From time to time, community organizations may wish to donate funds to cover the cost of planting trees.  The Town prefers plantings of groves over individual trees.

The charge for the trees noted above includes ongoing maintenance and care for the tree (especially within its first three years after planting).

Memorial and donated trees will only be planted in either the spring or fall of the year.

The Town of Slave Lake is now accepting donations for the Spring of 2019.

Groups or Individuals who are wishing to make a donation can contact the Director of Community Services at 780-849-8017.
