Based on recommendations received from the Government of Alberta, both the Slave Lake Multi Rec Centre and Northern Lights Aquatic Centre will be implementing the Restriction Exemption Program (REP). This change will take place at the Multi Rec Centre on November 8th and the Northern Lights Aquatic Centre on November 15th. In order to enter facilities all those 12 years and older (excluding those participating in organized youth activities or school-based curriculum activities) must show either proof of vaccination, a negative COVID-19 test from within the last 72 hours or proof of medical exemption. Those entering the facility who are 18 years and older will also be required to show ID matching their proof of vaccination, negative COVID-19 test, or proof of medical exemption.
Those wishing to utilize Susan’s Kitchen at the Multi Rec Centre but are not able to meet the requirements of the REP will be able to utilize curbside pick-up. Customers will be checked by the Multi Rec Centre Front Desk staff before they can proceed to Susan’s Kitchen.
All User Groups have been informed. Please reach out to them if you have specific questions regarding their program requirements during their times.
By implementing the REP, capacity limits will be removed (except where staffing constraints are in place), and drop-in times are more accessible to our users. Masking is still required within our facilities except for those who are participating in physical activities. Users are no longer required to pre-book spaces for drop-ins. Private rental requests will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
