Slave Lake RCMP Investigate a Firearm Related Call

Slave Lake, Alta. -  The Slave Lake RCMP were called to a report of a fight in progress at the local No Frills parking lot. The caller reported one of the males was in possession of a firearm.

 

Members of the Slave Lake Detachment responded to the scene and located a male known to Police walking away from the scene. The male was arrested and told the RCMP he was in possession of a firearm. 

 

A firearm and ammunition were located on the male suspect. The firearm was not discharged during the altercation with the second male. The second male was located near the 7-Eleven and treated for his injuries by Emergency Medical Services. He was then placed under arrest due to unrelated Desmarais RCMP charges.
