September 10th, 2020 COVID-19 Update from Vanderwell Lodge

Vanderwell Lodge

As of September 10th, there are NO cases of COVID-19 within our facilities and we continue to work hard to keep it that way.

The lodge will be going back immediately to no visitors and residents only leaving the lodge for medical appointments. These steps are triggered by the increase in Covid-19 cases in the region. We will be reassessing this direction Monday and updating everyone.  Again, this is a proactive measure for a short period of time until the   number of cases in the community decreases. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Family and friends can have window visits with their loved ones Monday-Friday or they can stay in contact with them via Facetime and phone calls. Grocery shopping can be done by family members and/or our bus will be getting groceries for the seniors that do not have anyone shopping for them. This lock down will be reviewed in one week’s time and guidelines will remain or new guidelines will be put into effect.

We thank everyone for their co operation and patience during these times. We ask that residents and their families continue to stay strong, work together and support our efforts and work with us to get through this.

Any questions or concerns, please contact your local lodge manager or Lesser Slave Lake Regional Housing Authority CAO Lindsay Pratt 780-523-5282 office 780-523-8518 cell or email
