Slave Lake, AB – During the week of July 12th – 18th the Slave Lake RCMP received one hundred (100) calls to service. Of these calls, traffic collisions, liquor act offences, and disturbing the peace were the most prevalent. The following are a sample of some of these calls:
July 12th, 2020 - Mischief to Property
The RCMP received a report that a female was inside the victims residence damaging his property. Members attended and located the female who was arrested. Photos were taken and statements were obtained but the victim declined to proceed with charges.
July 15th, 2020 – Taking Motor Vehicle without Consent
The RCMP received a report that a friend took the victims vehicle without her consent. The male was located the next day and the victim was informed. She no longer wanted to proceed with charges.
July 17th, 2020 - Assault
The RCMP received a report of an injured male on the ground in the parking lot of a business in town. The male provided the RCMP a statement and the offender was located and arrested. Back at the detachment, the offender provided the RCMP a statement and the assault was deemed consensual. The offender was released without charges.
July 18th, 2020 - Liquor Act Offences
During a patrol, the RCMP witnessed a male committing an inappropriate act on a business in town. The suspect was intoxicated by alcohol and was charged for public intoxication.
