The Allarie Trail System is perfect for a leisurely walk around the Town of Slave Lake, or for the more adventurous hikers to start on the Trans Canada Trail System.
Located Nine Miles west of the Town of Slave Lake along Highway 2, Nine Mile Point has 10.5 kms of groomed trails suitable for all skill levels.
There is a warm up lodge at the parking lot.
This is the perfect location to cross country ski, or snow shoe in the winter and hike in the summer.
Take a trip 18 kms north of Slave Lake to the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation in an outdoor enthusiast dream come true. Take a step inside the Bird Conservatory and learn about birds from experts.
Then take a hike along the hiking paths in on the grounds. This area is the perfect spot to take a walk in the boreal forest, go hiking with friends and family, trek out into the snow, or cross country ski.
