SWIMMING LESSONS REGISTRATION FORM

LEGACY CENTRE LOGO DESIGN CONTEST
The Wildfire Legacy Corporation invites submissions of a logo design for use on Legacy Centre promotional materials. The designer of the selected submission will receive a $500 prize!

GARBAGE CART REPLACEMENT
All residential homes that have curbside garbage pickup, were provided with a garbage cart after the 2011 Wildfire.
Newly rebuilt homes on lots where the home burned in 2011 will be provided with a FREE garbage cart if none were previously provided at that address.
Additional or replacement garbage carts are available at the Town office for a cost of $100 plus GST, and must be paid for in advance.

LESSER SLAVE LAKE REGIONAL WASTE DISPOSAL RATES
Effective March 1, There will be new rates for disposal at the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Waste Management Facility.

REGIONAL GROWTH PLAN AGREEMENT AND INTERMUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124 and the Town of Slave Lake are considering adoption of an Inter-Municipal Development Plan and of a Regional Growth Plan Agreement.
The purpose of the InterMunicipal Development Plan is to outline a cooperative framework for the coordination of planning and development that is of joint interest between the Town of Slave Lake and the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124.
The purpose of the Regional Growth Plan is to provide policy guidance for how the Local Governments, Tri-Council and the CAO Secretariat are to collaborate on regional initiatives, regional land use development and related regional services.

SENIORS' WALKING TRACK - THANK YOU 2015 SPONSORS
The Town of Slave Lake would like to thank Whitecap Motors, along with Grizzly Electric, Mr. Mikes, and Royal LePage for stepping forward to sponsor seniors use of the walking track in the MRC for the 2015 season.
Karl Gongos the owner of Whitecap Motors with the help of Randy Westlake, Operations manager has been instrumental in leveraging Whitecap’s generosity, with Grizzly Electric who has pledged to match Whitecap’s contribution of $4,650. Other local business’s, have also jumped on board, with Royal LePage sponsoring $200.00 and Mr. Mike’s $500.00 for a total of a $10,000 sponsorship. Any senior 60+.
Arrangements for the passes can be made at the Multi Recreation Centre front desk.

REGULAR MONTHLY SIREN TESTS
Regular Siren Test are always:
Once a month, on the second Thursday, at 12:00 PM- Noon
These tests will last for 20 seconds.
Next test will be Thursday, March 12, 2015.

NEW ONLINE BYLAW COMPLAINT SYSTEM
The Town of Slave Lake has a NEW Online Bylaw Complaint System in place – this system can be used by the public to register by law complaints for the Community Peace Officers online rather than phoning in.
Examples of Bylaw complaints include but are not limited to dogs barking excessively, dog at large, property with dangerous snow or ice on the sidewalk, parking violations and untidy or unsightly property.

Tri-Council Regional Wellness Scholarship:
The Regional Wellness Advisory Committee awards scholarships to students enrolled in health, wellness or social service programs.

The Tri-Council Regional Training Initiative funds assist and support individuals, or community groups to have the financial means to attend, have access, or acquire wellness related training initiatives. Funds may also be made available to individuals who are in educational programs that have an end result of employment within health, wellness or education fields.

The purpose of the Tri-Council Regional Wellness Grant is to assist and support both individuals, and community groups in creating regional wellness initiatives. Please note the Slave Lake RCMP will only accept/process information for Criminal Record Checks on Tuesdays. All requests and information for Criminal Record Checks must be dropped off and picked up by the individual on Tuesdays between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
