The Town of Slave Lake invites Quotations for the noted services. The quantities and dollar estimates are to be included in the attached Quotation documents and are made in good faith for any service performed.
The successful bidder of this Quotation will be the primary supplier of the product or services being quoted for the 2018 calendar year and will receive a copy of a countersigned (by the Town) "Quotation Guidelines" with the Town Quotation award (effective January 1, 2018). Purchases by the Town from suppliers, other than the one named in the "Quotation Guidelines", are planned to occur only if supply as required cannot be made by the successful Contractor. Increases or decreases to the prices detailed herein resulting from fluctuations in prices shall only be authorized by formal amendments to the contract, upon satisfactory proof, in writing, showing that proposed changes are consistent with marketplace changes, this is to be provided to the Superintendent of Operations prior to the price change being instituted.
The Town of Slave Lake reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Quotations and to waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion. The Town of Slave Lake reserves the right to accept a Quotation other than the lowest Quotation without stating reasons. By the act of submitting its Quotation, the Proponent waives any right to contest in any legal proceeding or action the right of the Town of Slave Lake to award the work to whomever it chooses, in its sole and unfettered discretion, and for whatever reasons the Town of Slave Lake deems appropriate. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Town of Slave Lake may consider any other factor besides price and capability to perform the work that it deems in its sole discretion to be relevant to its decision including but not limited to the following:
- Any past experience with the Proponent, or lack thereof;
- The results of any reference check done by the Town of Slave Lake; and
- Information relating to the financial state of the proponent.
If deemed appropriate, the Town of Slave Lake may, as an option, negotiate and extend an acceptable Quotation without re-advertising for future services.
