Slave Lake RCMP investigate robbery

RCMP NEWS RELEASE

Slave Lake, Alta. - On March 23, 2019 at approximately 7:00 PM, a female was running through the southwest quadrant of town when she was confronted by two people, a male and a female.  The female suspect jumped the victim from behind, punching the victim in the face and head while demanding the victim's cell phone and money.  The victim handed over her iPod Shuffle and the two suspects fled the scene.  The victim ran to a nearby business where police were called.  Immediate patrols of the area were negative for any suspects.

The victim was not from Slave Lake and did not know the suspects.  She was not seriously injured.

The female suspect is described as follows:

 - 5'4" tall

- 160 lbs

- Wearing a dark grey hoodie, skinny jeans, black shoes and sunglasses.

A description of the male could not be given. 

The stolen iPod shuffle is described as being silver with "A.S." written on the rear in black ink.
