OPEN HOUSE and SUMMER SPLASH SNEAK PEAK

Tuesday, June 26, 2018

OPEN HOUSE and SUMMER SPLASH SNEAK PEAK

June 26, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
in the LOBBY of the MRC

Citizens of Slave Lake, you are invited to attend an Open House and Summer Splash Sneak Peak on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Lobby of the Multi-Rec Centre (MRC).

This combined event will provide a “Sneak Peak” at our Summer Splash program. Join us for some fun activities, crafts and SNACKS with our Summer Splash Leaders. At the same time, take a few minutes and meet with our Consulting Team regarding what we have planned for the Downtown and Main Street Commercial areas.

BACKGROUND

In 2017 Council adopted the new Downtown and Main Street Area Plan and the Urban Design Handbook. We are now looking at amendments to the Land Use Bylaw to review existing and proposed uses for the various commercial land use districts to ensure the regulations in the Land Use Bylaw align with the newly adopted Downtown Plan. We will also establish uses for the new Urban Village Precinct identified in the Downtown and Main Street ASP.

We invite you to attend the Open House to gain in a better understanding of the Downtown Plan and proposed changes to the Land Use Bylaw.

The purpose of the Open House is to provide the public with background information on the Downtown Plan as well as to collect feedback regarding the review and update to the Land Use Bylaw. The feedback received will help the Consulting Team to confirm the aspirations of the community. The Consulting Team and Town Staff will be available to provide an overview of the project and answer questions regarding the process.

For more details regarding the Open House please contact Laurie Skrynyk or Vanessa Asselin at @ 849-8000.
