Slave Lake Enforcement Services employs two full-time Peace Officers and two casual Animal Control Officers. All members are on staff to patrol the Town of Slave Lake. Enforcement services are available to the general public between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. most days, with varied shifts on weekends, and can be accessed by telephone by dialing 849-8000. The duties performed by the Peace Officers are diverse and public service oriented. The secondary level of policing allows for a direct, pro-active approach to Law Enforcement concerns across the Town.
Residents of Slave Lake can contact the Animal Control Officer through the Animal Control complaint line at 780-805-5512. The Animal Control Officer responds to complaints on an as needed basis, following up on calls as they are received. If there is no answer, the public is encouraged to leave a message with a call back number and an Animal Control Officer will follow up with the complainant.
Note: Animal Control Officers are only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Weekends.
